Description
Okay the categories are confusing me. Technically this is both a "Mask" and a "Prop." I flipped a coin, unless the staff @ dA say something.
ANd Zero is ALIVE!!!! *cue evil laugh*
The helmet sits where it should according to my references, and the back two pieces rotate manually into the front. I wanted to be as accurate as possible to the Season 2 version of the helmet
Ahem. We finished the helmet with painting the inside of the visor (to keep the shinneh on the outside) with 2 quick layers of [link] and coating the entire helmet piece with a clear coat. {Thanks to Tallus from cosplay.com!}
The intention was to make it very slightly knotched in and battle-warn. Well with the clear coat it apparently did that with very little effort!
The helmet cost us about $250-275 total (we bought things as we needed it instead of the usual 'all together'), and a week and a half ; to two days before SabotenCon to finish it in time
Thanks to my hubby for assisting me to make this and with materials he knew about better than I, and espescially DJKanda from cosplay.com [link] for being very patient and making the design according to my preferences <3
I'll be making a detailed tutorial on how this was made as soon as I can get it together. But here's some brief descriptions and pictures as I was making it:
