We have been looking for a house for about a year. And there's this new thing my husband told me about that has to do with new homeowners. So we've been looking for houses the last two weeks especially. We found 2 we liked and one we bid on. We won the bid for the most affordable one

*dances with glee* yay! Its a 3 bedroom house, 2 car garage and a L shaped yard that's safe and not near any scary dogs, close to shopping, closer to more of the family and to our church. All good things. So I'm packing the house up little by little. It's exciting and anxious since paperwork is going through and we pray that everything goes smoothly on the paperwork/loan. Plus packing up stuff you aren't or haven't used in forever is a good thing right?
Cars, people, and scariness seem to be attracting together more & more lately. The DAY not a week not a couple weeks, the MORNING after coming home to AV, I had an older gentleman clearly not check his left side or blind spots to see if anyone was there and sideswiped me on the passenger side. The dent prevented my passenger door to open no more than an inch or so and the quote for it was rediculous for how small it was. Maybe it was the spot it was at? *shrug*
Not two weeks later I become the biggest ditz (on the way to our September Anime Kaigi meeting none the less) and ran a red light and rear ended a truck. I'm in a white cavelier, so the bumper off that truck dug into my driver side front fender and ripped a piece off like it was aluminum.
Thank goodness I was only charged with a red-light. No one was hurt but rather relieved at that fact alone. I have traffic school, but since it was entirely my fault for the accident. I'd say its worth going through a boring class and watching ancient driving videos.

Cosplay News

~~ AnimeVegas! ~~
Had a fantastic time AV! It was a pleasure to meet many new people, adopt a few, reunite and remember others from conventions past, and just had an all around fun/busy time! I got to meet teh awesome

, meet

officially in person,

, meet

and

again even though I've talked to them at a previous AV

, meet

, and many others I cannot seem to find their dA at the moment

, see almost all meh buds from Cosplay Zone and hang out with them, and they're spazes but I love them anyways!. I was sad that

couldnt make it but we still loves you!!!

I promise to bring our Ouran cosplays for her to another convention

Had a great time dressing with the kids. They were, of course being major hams in front of the camera. Josiah kept smiling more for the ladies and Angel kept throwing the 'V for Victory' sign
I'm very proud of my Zero cosplay, but more so on the kids costumes. They turned out so well and they were comfy. We only did a walk-on but the Judges i guess felt like giving us an award.

Which surprises me. I don't think any of my sewing is award-worthy. The kiddo's won "Best Junior" along with the Ponyo baby cosplayer, who was just adorable as can be!
Scarlet Rhapsody was kind enough to record our walk-on. XD {We were 1st in line!} and yay for improvisation with kids XD. ---->
[link]Cosplay wise, I was working REALLY hard on staying in character while being "Mom" XD

I was told by a few people that they were convinced that I was male while dressed in Zero and that I acted just like Haruhi would when a cyuute Hunny-Senpai and his friends asked what a coupon was. This makes me proud for all the work put into the costume and preparations.

[Random Note to self] Stop procrastinating on costumes and DON'T sew on the final details or work on them in the hotel the night before the con.....GET SOME SLEEP! [/note to self] I swore after my Sasuke Shippuden cosplay that I wouldn't do it again, but alas the monster of panic joined our company.
I'm uploading photos a little at a time due to my horrible time management skills atm. Also my cd-rom randomly broke so now I cannot post the Hi-res pictures from our CG photoshoot until its finished, but I guess until then I'll post the smaller ones.
I'm trying to work on many little things for Zero right now. All that's left to do is his helmet and his cape. I have to make a practice verstion of his cloak/cape first cause its so specific and I'd like to be as accurate as possible: in shape and how it sits on me.
~ Zero Helmet - Code Geass R2 ~
There's two methods for the helmet I've contemplated and I'll be trying both if time permits: {I do plan on making tutorial on how I make it mostly to help others not pay $300 for a helmet when its much cheaper to make one yourself}
..Option A..
~ Visor :
[link]~ Paint for visor:
[link]~ Frame pieces with Pipe cleaners ....example -->
[link]~ After frame is completely done, flatten and trace onto foam
~ After tracing is done, then work out any angles and kinks to fit and sit right.
~ Then order this:
[link] in black and assemble
~ Cut and Attach the visor with the proper measurements and then do the same to the back pieces
~ Make the Geass symbol from gold vinyl and attach with Gorilla glue.
*TADA* It's Done

----UPDATE---- Found out with the time I have left, Option B (below) will be quicker.

======Backup========= / ..Option B..
I've asked a 3d Designer on Cosplay.com to give me a quote on a Pepakura pattern for Zero's helmet. Communication has been great and i've told him every detail i'd like. I've used Pepakura before and its come out to be great results:
[link] [link] [link]So I'm anxious to see how it turns out. Here's the process:
~ Visor :
[link]~ Paint for visor:
[link]~ Pay & Recieve pattern.
~ Print and assemble (will roughly take 5 days)
~ Fiberglass and sand it down for smoothness (3 days work)
~ Get some air drying clay or bondo to smooth more details and curves, etc..
~ Buy a lovely gallon of Plasti-Dip
[link]~ Dip it in this stuff and let it dry.
~ Cut and Attach the visor with the proper measurements and then do the same to the back pieces
~ Make the Geass symbol from gold vinyl and attach with Gorilla glue.

I seriously cannot wait until Saboten! And for many many reasons! I'll be seeing my new friends, some old friends, meeting people from the forums, and I'll be going by myself. Which hasn't happened at.......in a few years. My hubby has volunteered to watch the kids. I know this will dissapoint those who wanted to see my kids cosplays. And I'm still tossing whether or not to take Angel with me but my hubby keeps telling me that i need more time with my friends....lol Which I agree. It wouldn't hurt to just hang with my friends more

I'll be bringing my OHSHC Haruhi coslplay and my fixed and hopefully fully finished Zero cosplay. I'm looking forward to hanging out with Cosplay Zone---if they have some time and also to attend the Ranger dinner. I'm a new member but it'll be my first Ranger meeting so it ought to be very exciting.
PLUS There's a TON of people who are at sabotencon that will be helping us with AnimeKaigi next summer. Very very excited to steal everyone for some talking and dinner ^^.
I was going to do a skit with my friend who was going to be CC but her plans fell through so I need some help on making an introduction for my Zero walk-on. I seem to be having a block for introductions lately

I'm looking forward to some Code Geass gatherings and photoshoots. LOL *advertises* I'm looking for a CC and or Kallen, Suzaku, Eupie or Rolo to come join in my photoshoots

I feel wierd doing a solo photoshoot
